We have our Kendall back (sort of) and the start of sibling rivarly :)

Wow. Finally got both kids to bed just now and MAN am I plain tired. I spent most of my evening hearing ‘mama watch, mama watch, mama watch’ from Payton while Kendall tried to shove a plastic spoon in my mouth over and over (and thought it was hilarious when I’d try to bite it) and Winnie pushing a tennis ball into my side. I sort of have to go to a different place in my head so I don’t snap with all the noise and chaos but often wonder how nice it would be if I had a third arm and eyes on ALL sides of my head. I think God missed the mark on that one! LOL

To say we have our girl back wouldn’t be accurate HOWEVER Miss Kendall doesn’t have a fever (which ended up being Roseola) which is great news. Her nose is still a faucet but that is from teething, and I think I feel several teeth popping through on the top and bottom. No wonder she’s mad at the world! She whines quite a bit but she’s 110% better than she was last week! Thank God we can actually put her down here and there.

Here are some quick updates & funnies on the kids:

  • Kendall still brushes her hair with everything (markers, shoes, food)! I tried to use a normal toothbrush on her teeth tonight (instead of the plastic little finger covering I’ve been using) and she immediately grabbed it and brushed her hair. That girl’s got a grip…and toothpaste in her hair now!
  • Payton wakes me up every morning now and hangs out with me while I get ready. He loves it when I dry his hair and would like to put on makeup but I’m sure his father wouldn’t appreciate that.
  • Kendall can say ‘baby, pretty, mama, & dada’
  • Payton is doing great with his reading lessons. He is starting to read short sentences. I’m so proud of him for that!
  • Kendall loves looking at framed photos more than anything. She also loves pointing to pictures in books by tapping her finger three times on an image. It’s hilarious.
  • Payton keeps asking me to watch animals bite each other. Apparently him and his Dad watched a movie about Sea creatures while I was in Seattle. Lovely.
  • At 14 months old, Kendall is 29 3/4 inches tall (68%), 21 lbs 13 oz (55%), and her head is 46.5 c around (80%).

Here are two collages I created today while catching up on the Bachelor (momma needs something brainless after a long day):

This is P ALL the time.  He is so busy and just happy a lot.

And here’s the story of Kendall messing up the show Payton was watching (Twenty Trucks of course), Payton getting upset, and then Kendall offering Payton a plastic ketchup bottle as a peace offering. Ah, let the sibling rivarly begin!
